#HappyHolidays!! Great to have you on Inspiration Daily with Jumoke Oduwole today!

TITLE: “Strengthen the WEAK”
INSPIRATION:Don’t give up or overlook those whose faith and understanding is weak.

Romans 14:1 “Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on his opinions”.

Having served in different groups, projects and committees, one of the lessons I have learnt by the experience over and over is that “everyone is useful, it’s the combined effect of everyone’s ability that brings a huge success”. One of the world’s foremost IT revolutionist used a strategy I found quite interesting; he preferred to assign difficult tasks to lazy employees because they tend to find the shortest and easiest way to solve the problem! What a strategy! Who thought lazy people could be useful?

Every organization nowadays is looking for the best hands, most intelligent, most valuable etc. which is logical (since that’s how the world operates) but what’s sad is that the House of God has turned to this strategy; searching for the most vibrant, the strongest in faith, the most available, the cheerful giver etc. This ought not to be so! Romans 15:2 says “We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord” and Romans 15:7 said “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring glory to God”.  It is not our job to look for the best but to accept everyone as Christ accepted us and to build up many in the way of the Lord. Remember that before you met Christ, you were not qualified but Christ chose you and qualified you!

This is not to say that we should not admonish mediocrity or wrong doings; wrongdoings must be rebuked and discipline must be ensured in the House of God, but those who are weak, who are struggling to grow, those who are laid back should not be shoved off or disregarded. It is true that everyone must be fully persuaded as Apostle Paul has said but we must also help and carry along those that are weak, whoe faith is low and lack understanding. If you believe you are stronger in faith, now is the time to STRENGTHEN weak believers, encourage them, be an example and most of all, accept and love them.

Romans 15:1 “We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.”

Have a lovely day!
