TITLE: “God OVERLOOKS your past!
INSPIRATION: Forgiveness has come through the Lord Jesus Christ! You have been delivered!
I Timothy 1:13 “even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief; 1and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus.”
Halleluyah!!! The wonderful Testimony of Apostle Paul’s deliverance! Paul was a ruthless terrorist, he killed Christians himself, he didn’t order other men to do the job, he did it himself. But when forgiveness came, his story changed! Grace made the difference and he became a powerful apostle of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He brought the Gospel to you and me! God is accurately merciful! God knew what He was doing when He decided to use you! What makes you so bad? Nothing! God said in Isaiah 43:25 “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for My own sake, and remembers your sins no more”. You see, it is not always about you, for He wants to use you and make you an epitome of His Glory!
God doesn’t care about your past, He overlooks your it completely and looks forward to the future! Remember Rehab, she was a prostitute, she showed her faith in God when she saved the spies that came to inspect the land, and God saved her in return and was in the lineage of King David through whom our Messiah Jesus Christ, came to the world. Remember Ruth, she was not an Israelite, she came from a nation that God despised, but she found favor in the eyes of the Lord and married Boaz, she’s linked to the clan of our Messiah! Remember Gideon, the smallest of the smallest of all the clans in Israel, no reputation for winning any fight with animals or man, but God chose him to deliver His people from the oppression and intimidation of their enemy! The first woman to preach about Jesus Christ in the bible was a woman known with five husbands, can you imagine that? So who are you that He cannot use? God qualifies the unqualified!
Your past is your past; let it be your past and not your future. If God the Almighty does not care about your past, then you shouldn’t dwell on it! Forgiveness has come through Jesus Christ; just repent, open your mind and your heart to God and let Him take over!
