TITLE: “PLEASING GOD”
INSPIRATION: Psalm 101: How King David lived His life pleasing God!
In our Year of ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES, pleasing God is topmost priority! King David, a man after God’s own heart, gave us wisdom from His lifestyle, on how he pleased God.
- Praise Him, in all seasons!!! He is God and worthy of Praise! Psalms 101:1 “I will sing of your love and justice, LORD. I will praise you with songs.”
- Behave and be careful to live the right, blameless and perfect way! Psalm 101:2a “I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way.”
- Live with integrity, honesty and honor: Psalm 101:2b“I will lead a life of integrity …”
- Hate corruption, deceitfulness and crookedness: Psalm 101:3a “I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them.”
- Refuse to dwell in a lifestyle surrounded by anything that is vile or vulgar: Psalm 101:3b “I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar.”
- Stay away from evil and perverse ideas, don’t dwell among them, it will initiate you: Psalm 101:4 “I will reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil.”
- Do not tolerate slander, conceit or pride; don’t give an excuse for their behavior: Psalm 101:5 “I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not endure conceit and pride.”
- Search for only faithful people as friends and buddies, dwell only in the counsel of the godly: Psalm 101:6-7 “I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me. I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house, and liars will not stay in my presence.”
- Win Souls: Psalm 101:8 “My daily task will be to ferret out the wicked and free the city of the LORD from their grip”. Before Christ came, the Israelites were to destroy all the wicked around them but now, Grace has come, we are to make it our daily task to talk about Jesus and win the souls of men to the kingdom! Glory!
Pleasing God this year is your topmost priority!!! Please Him in every way you can, ask guidance from the Holyspirit at all times and carry on with FAITH to move mountains! Halleluyah
