TITLE: “FAITH WITH PERSISTENCE”
INSPIRATION:  Persistent Blind Bartimaeus from Mark 10:46-52

Mark 10:47-48 “When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was nearby, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”; “Be quiet!” many of the people yelled at him. But he only shouted louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Persistence is to keep pressing on until there is a solution to the matter; it is the determination, the diligence, the perseverance to keep pressing notwithstanding the opposition, the disapproval or the obstruction one might face. Faith in God with persistence and zeal to keep believing, no matter the conditions and contrary situations, brings result.

Blind Bartimaeus only heard that Jesus was around, he couldn’t see Jesus Christ but He believed in the power of Jesus Christ. The passage today says, “He began to shout”; He had no other way to reach out to Jesus for he was blind, all he had was his voice, faith and persistence to get his healing no matter what. Notice that when people around him YELLED at him to be quiet, the passage says “He only SHOUTED LOUDER”. Maybe the YELLING of the people was loud and overriding his voice; he wasn’t about to let that stop him, and so, he shouted even louder! I tell you, his faith got him healed. Mark 10:52 says “And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see…” He got his healing instantly, Bartimaeus didn’t have to do anything else, his complete faith, persistence and trust in Jesus did the work!

Bartimaeus persisted until he got what he wanted. Are you trusting God for something? Believing Him for the extraordinary? Keep believing! Persist in faith, Persist in prayers and persist in His Word until something happens! You answer is on its way! All you need do is, keep persisting!
