TITLE: “Store-up God’s Word”
INSPIRATION: Keep on hearing God’s word, for one day, God will remind you and it will save you!
Luke 2:19 “But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.”
God’s Word is POWER and every time we hear it, it is not a waste; every word of God that you hear in songs, teaching, counselling is always useful. You may not need it today, but you will need it someday; you may not understand its application now, but you will apply it later. Just store His word with all your might; take it to heart, one day, the Holyspirit will remind you and it will save you!
As a young and new Christian, I just loved to hear God’s Word at every given opportunity; even if I wasn’t in the category of those that needed to hear particular messages, I’d still love to hear it. For instance, I would attend conventions on marriage, entrepreneurship, ministry and so on. It didn’t matter to me that I was not an entrepreneur or a minister at that time, I’d still go to feed my spirit. With no idea of how to apply it, I’d just listen and meditate on it. Little did I know that God was preparing me for the future. Soon enough, these positions started materializing in my life; and definitely, I ran into difficulties and confusion sometimes; I tell you, what saves the situation most of the time especially when I am helpless is the God’s Word that I have stored up in my heart a long time ago. The Holyspirit will now remind me of one message that I heard about five years ago; He begins to teach me ways to apply it in my present situation! I tell you, it has saved me a million times so much that I wonder what would have happened if I didn’t hear the message at that time!
God’s Word in our lives can never be void; it will speak for you someday! Don’t be tired of hearing and listening to messages, it just might be your answer to a problem in the future! Only be receptive to God’s Word everytime it comes your way! Don’t believe you are too big, too anointed to hear another speak God’s word; don’t think you shouldn’t listen to the preacher in the bus! God can use anyone! From the passage today, like Mary, store up God’s word by appreciating it priceless value (treasure), eager to hear and meditate on it (Ponder), it will speak for you someday!
