TITLE: “Hope in God’s Faithfulness”
INSPIRATION: The book of Lamentations, Chapter 3.
Lamentations 3:22-24 “The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning; I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”
God’s faithfulness endures forever, He never changes. We may not trust our own faithfulness, we may not trust man’s faithfulness but, we can always, always depend on God’s faithfulness! Even when we fail God and we are unfaithful to Him, he remains faithful. Lamentations 3:31-32 says “For no one is abandoned by the Lord forever. Though he brings grief, he also shows compassion because of the greatness of his unfailing love”. His love is indescribable, incomprehensible, His love is stronger than anything we could ever live for. This is our hope, our fortress! No wonder we have not been abandoned by Him! He is faithful forever!!!! Glory!!
Faithfulness is a way of life; it defines commitment to a goal, to words, to promises, to partners, to colleagues, relatives etc; but many times, man fails in his commitments but God never fails. God is committed to every word, every promise He has made and He does not change nor waver. When things don’t work the way we thought it would, remember that God’s Faithfulness, His commitment to you has not ended, so have a renewed hope in Him. Think about it and you’d see that there’s nothing to worry about anymore; for even if the whole world fails you, God will never fail you!
Are you discouraged? Do you have a feeling of hopelessness? Lamentations 3:55-57 says “I called on your name, Lord, from deep within the pit. You heard me when I cried, Yes, you came when I called; you told me, “Do not fear”. There is hope in the promise of the cross, there is hope in God’s faithfulness. Don’t lose courage, hope again! Your hope in God can never put you to shame. Romans 5:5 says “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Hope in God, His Love is all encompassing!

When nothing else works, remember, there is HOPE in the Lord’s Faithfulness.
