TITLE: “CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST”
INSPIRATION: All that Jesus Christ did for us all on a day like this many many years ago!
Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, & gave himself for me.”
That’s Right!!! I no longer live by myself, or my thoughts or principles, I no longer live by the society’s principles and desires or the by the world’s way of life for Jesus Christ now lives inside of me. And I live because I have faith in Him and because many many years ago, on a day like this, Jesus Christ put aside the fact that He is the King of Kings, the creator of Heaven and earth and was disgraced, beaten to stupor and was hung on a cross to identify Him as a sinner, because He wanted to give Grace and Life to you and I. Because He wanted to release us from the bondage and the depression of the law into oneness with God! Making us have an inheritance with Him and like Him in the Kingdom… Giving us open access to the overflowing mercy, compassion, power and love of the Most High God. Such Love… Thank you Jesus…
To be crucified is the beginning of death itself, it’s about being tormented, tortured, disgraced and finally, death with gruesome pain. To be CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST means you may in one way or the other face we live for Christ till death forgetting the fleshy and human desires. I tell you, it is a conscious effort daily! One time, I wanted to post a video on Facebook. The video would obviously really offend a lot of non-Christ followers, convert the open hearted and minister powerfully to Christians. But I tell you, it was a video that was not very easy to share because I would get a lot of lambasting and attack from non-Christ followers. But I remembered the martyrs of the Gospel like Paul and what they did for Jesus Christ; I remembered that I am supposed to be crucified with Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ went through too much for me. Why would I be scared to go through ordinary “Social Media Attack” for Him (when it’s not physical attack sef! SMH!)? And so courage came, I posted the video and advertised it in as many countries as I could. Sincerely it was not an easy attack but I tell you, a different sort of joy filled my heart, for it felt like I was going through something for my Lord. I felt good
Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” We demonstrate our love for Him by dying to the flesh and living completely for Him no matter the situation. He has done soooo much for us than we would ever deserve. What then our lives if we still live it for ourselves? I challenge you today, live your life daily for Christ. It’s a conscious effort and it’s more than worth it.
