TITLE: “Don’t Speak IMPOSSIBILITIES!”
INSPIRATION: The lame man at the pool of Bethesda from John 5:1-13
John 5:7 - “I can’t, sir,” the sick man said, “for I have no MAN to put me into the pool when the water bubbles up. Someone else always gets there ahead of me.”
I CAN’T, excuses, were the words to come out of a man with an ailment of about 38 years. Jesus was standing right before him to give him his victory! He thought Jesus was an ordinary man; he didn’t know he was standing before the One who has the power to make him walk again! Who has the power do greater than what no man could do for him all this years!
The fortunate thing was that this lame man had a little faith, he sincerely wanted to be healed because the bible doesn’t say he argued with Jesus neither did he hesitate. John 5:8-9 says “Jesus said to him “Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk”, instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up his sleeping mat and began walking! That’s right! He had a little faith! But two things hindered him before his healing, his impossibility mindset and his dependence on man! Does this sound like you o ye of little faith? The lame man had a little faith but his mindset and his reliance on man made him dwell in his ailment for years! But Jesus came! The author and finisher of our faith came to rescue him from himself! Jesus will come for you today! In that situation, that long lasting situation, you will see victory!
At the pool, different men were waiting to receive healing from the pool; each one had a reason to be there, each man had his own race to run! But every man must look only to God and not to other men for victory. I tell you, what is impossible with man is possible with God! Don’t speak impossibilities; don’t speak the “I Can’t” phrase! You are not ordinary, you are a Spirit being! Born of God! He that is in you is greater than He that is in the world! Don’t depend on man for making the impossible possible. Man is limited but God is unlimited! Glory!! You keep speaking possibilities and depend on God always; your victorious end is on its way! Glory!!!

1 John 4:4b “because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world”. You can do it! It is possible! The Spirit of the Lord is in you!
