TITLE: “Let Jesus choose for you”
INSPIRATION: Jesus Christ knows the best for us and He wants to give it all to us!
John 2:9-10 “When the master of ceremonies tasted the water that was now wine… he called the bridegroom over. “A host always serves the best wine first... But you have kept the best until now!"
This happened at the wedding in Cana, where Jesus turned water into wine! His wine was the best! I tell you, whatever Jesus chooses for you is best; it brings abundance and adds no sorrow. Proverbs 10:22 says “The blessing of the LORD makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it”. When God blesses you, it comes with plenty, favor, sweetness, rest of mind, goodness and comfort! Jesus can take good care of us! He knows what is best for us! When we allow Him take care of us, He does it better than we can ever imagine! No matter how sweet the wedding planner thought his choice of wine was, Jesus’s wine was far better and was the best!
Remember Isaac, when there was a great famine in his location, he decided to move to another land, Egypt, but God told him not to leave! Thank God he obeyed for Genesis 26:12-13 says “Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy”. That’s right! This happened because Isaac went with God and trusted His choice for him. On the contrary, remember Adam and Eve whom God placed in the Garden of Eden, a paradise, a place of comfort, overflow, abundance, a place of beauty and dominion; they didn’t know what life outside the paradise was until they chose for themselves and that, led to a life of hardship and regrets. This would not be your portion in Jesus Name!
Let Jesus choose for you, let him choose your career path, your location, spouse, calling, let Him choose your purpose; let Him take charge and control of all that you do! Also, ask Him to choice for you! If Jesus’s Mother didn’t tell him about the wine, Jesus won’t have given them the best wine! Matthew 7:11 says “If you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him”. Ask Him, fully surrender to His choice; He has the best in mind for you. Your choice may look sweet, but Jesus’s choice for you is sweeter and better! Glory!
