TITLE: “Wear your WEAPONS ALWAYS”
INSPIRATION: Hmmm… A soldier without his weapon is target for the enemy!
2 Corinthians 10:4 “For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.”
Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 10:3 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh”. Ephesians 6:11 says “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes“. As a believer, a soldier for Christ, we must not be oblivious of the enemy that has come against us. Ephesians 6:12 continues to say “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”. However, this is not our battle to fight, it is the Lord’s! The Soldiers go to war, but it is the Lord that gives victory!
Before Christ came, kings went to war to fight against flesh and blood; but now, God says you still are at war with the enemy but no longer against flesh and blood, for the Prince of Peace Jesus Christ has settled all that! You now fight a spiritual warfare. The problem these days is that, many keep wasting energy and time fighting the battle they can never win on their own! No one who has embarked on a spiritual warfare by himself has ever made it out, they die fighting this war! The battle is the Lord’s! The only thing we have been asked to do is to always put on our WEAPONS of Spiritual Warfare! From Ephesians 6, they are the weapon of Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Faith, your Salvation, the Word of God and Prayers!
If a soldier goes to war, wearing all his weapons but not his helmet, where would be the target of the enemy? His Head! Can he decide to not carry his sword? Of course not! So should we also, we must carry the weapons of our spiritual warfare at all times, leaving none out of it! You must be equipped with the WEAPONS at all times; you can’t afford to make yourself a target for the spiritual forces of evil! You have a part to play, which is, to strive to wear your weapons at all times!
