Hello! Great to have you on #InspirationDailywithJumoke
TITLE: “Let go of Ishmael!”
INSPIRATION: Holding on to what is not good for you can limit God’s best for you!
Isaiah 64:4 “For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!”
That’s Right! What God has prepared for those who wait for Him is beyond comprehension! Remember, the passage says “only for those who wait for Him”. Patience and longsuffering are virtues a child of God must endure for God’s goodness to manifest fully. But what happens is that, in the period of waiting, we begin to create alternatives to God’s intended will for us and then settle for less. But this is not God’s plan! God’s plan is for you to benefit from all the goodness He has for you!
We remember Father Abraham and Sarah whom God promised Isaac, because they waited for so long and thought the promise had faded away from God’s mind, they moderated a big plan! The plan was to create the Isaac that God had promised them. Their plan succeeded but through his maid. Abraham was so excited that he thought his Isaac had come, but God told him, that Ishmael was not the Isaac He promised, Isaac is still coming. 14 years later, Isaac the child of promise was born! What happened while they had Ishmael were turmoil, rift and disagreements in the home. Things were not that good between Sarah and the maid and of course, this disturbed Abraham. You know why, whatever you plan by yourself, you will have to cater for by yourself but whatever God plans for you, God already had prepared it for you and He would take good care of it for you!
Somehow, many have gotten tired of waiting and are holding on to Ishmael, holding on to what is not good for them; you know that relationship is not where you ought to be, that job is not for you but you still hold on to it thinking “How will I get another relationship, another job!” LET IT GO! Let go of ISHMAEL and let God have His way! He has His best planned out for you. God wants to give you Isaac, the Isaac with full blessings and divine rest! wouldn’t you rather have that? Wait for it!

Have I been waiting for too long? I don’t mind waiting on the Lord for His Mind concerning me!
Bye!
