Good Morning!! Great to have you on Inspiration Daily with Jumoke Oduwole today! God Bless You!
TITLE: “Save or Give?”
INSPIRATION:The supernatural Hand of God over His children never fails; you must not fail to give!
2 Corinthians 8:15 “As the Scriptures say, "Those who gathered a lot had nothing left over, and those who gathered only a little had enough.”
This financial sector of Nigeria right now, would strongly disagree with this principle, for them, the more you gather (save), the more you have. But the Word from the One who created financial controllers says, when you gather so much (save), you will have nothing leftover, but when you have a little (give), you have enough! Apostle Paul was admonishing the Corinthian church on their giving. At that time, there was an obvious distinction between those that had enough and those that were in lack but God desires that there is equality in His House. 2 Corinthians 8:14 “Right now you have plenty and can help those who are in need. Later, they will have plenty and can share with you when you need it. In this way, things will be equal”. This explains how God strongly desires equality in His House!
The passage today was quoted by Apostle Paul from from Exodus 16:18; when God supernaturally provided Manna from Heaven for the Israelites to feed on. Manna was God’s supernatural provision to the Israelites, likewise all that you have today. All that you have is from God’s Supernatural Hands and if you have refused to give from the much God has given to you, Proverbs 11:24 says to you “One person gives freely, yet gains more; another withholds what is right, only to become poor”. Giving not to say that you should give to the extent that it becomes uneasy for you, but give in proportion to what you have (2 Corinthians 8:13) and give cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:7), it is a great privilege!
Giving is a powerful principle in the Kingdom; everything God made He GAVE to man even His own image. There’s no reason to withhold, for God’s Supernatural Hand will always provide. Proverbs 19:17 “One who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, And He will repay him for his good deed”. The economy may be in recession, but God’s Supernatural Hand does not go on recession. Keep Giving!
